Meet Buddy – German Short-Hair Pointer

I’m a little over a year old.  I got lost from my home around Brookshire and some nice people took me in and I ended up with a nice rescue family in Houston.  They made sure that I was  neutered, fully vetted, heartworm negative, and put some weight on me so now I’m a lean good-looking fellow..

They’re a nice family and I have some great rescue brothers and sisters to play with but I need a family of my own.

I’m not much of a barker unless there’s something that needs to be said. I’m a very friendly fellow and, as you can see, I’m also rather elegant. I love snuggles, walks, treats, dog parks, and playing fetch (which I’m just learning) and being outside. I do well with a doggie door and would like to have a canine brother or sister to play with and keep me company since I don’t really enjoy being left alone inside a house. In fact, my foster mom works from home so I’d have to get used to not having a human around. I’ve learned to enjoy riding in a car but I get seriously car sick.
I’ve been in a crate but truthfully, I’m not crazy about them. I like my freedom. I’m camera shy, which may mean I’m gun shy, and I’m not wild about thunderstorms but I don’t freak out, I just pretty much stick by my human.
I’m not a demanding kind of guy. I love my humans but I don’t have to have attention all the time. I’m content to lay quietly by your side and enjoy your company except when I’m saying good morning – mornings are exciting!
